What happens to filler in your face?

Today, for the correction of facial imperfections and age-related changes, non-surgical methods are increasingly used – facial contouring with fillers is one of the most popular and safest. Correction of the face with fillers is done through injections. Fillers are dense gels based on concentrated hyaluronic acid, which has gone through several stages of purification and is completely safe for the body. To correct flaws and lifting, fillers are injected into the deeper layers of the skin, where they remain for several months – usually after 6-18 months the gels are absorbed and a repeat procedure is required. What happens to fillers in your face?

The effect of fillers

Once in the skin tissue, the filler fills the voids – wrinkles, scars, creates volume in the place where it is injected. Hyaluronic acid normalizes the water balance in the skin and protects it from moisture loss, and also stimulates the production of the natural “proteins of youth” in the skin – collagen and elastin. They maintain skin elasticity, firmness and youthfulness.

The very first preparations for facial plastic fillers were made on the basis of non-absorbable substances – for example, based on silicone. Such fillers did not dissolve in the skin tissues, but over time could become deformed or begin to cause discomfort. Today, facial contouring fillers are only biodegradable formulations based on hyaluronic acid with the highest degree of purity. This avoids rejection, allergies and side effects after the introduction of the drug. Such gels are completely reabsorbed in the tissues for several months and are removed from the body naturally, without causing damage.

Types of facial contouring fillers

There are many types of facial correction with fillers. The most popular are:

  • elimination of facial expression lines, horizontal wrinkles on the forehead, filling deep interbrow wrinkles, wrinkles around the eyes, around the mouth, on the neck, correction of nasolacrimal furrows, nasolabial folds, cheek lift;
  • correction of ear lobe shape, leveling of folds near the ear;
  • lifting the face oval with fillers, elimination of ptosis;
  • filling scars and scars with fillers;
  • correction of lips shape and volume;
  • increasing the cheekbones with fillers;
  • other types of correction.

After the introduction of fillers in places where the skin was flabby, sagging, creates an elastic volume. Wrinkles are filled from within and become less pronounced. Overall flabbiness disappears, the skin becomes moisturized, supple and elastic and looks considerably younger.
